Photography Tuition Voucher: Take better pictures

Almost everyone owns a camera these days but you will never get consistently good pictures until you take control and understand its potential and limitations.
With a little help from me, a professional photographer with 26 years experience, you will understand light better, improve composition and have the confidence to make your camera record what you want it to see. If you have a digital compact or SLR you will benefit
from some “real world” advice from a professional’s perspective and learn lots of fundamentals the manual can’t tell you such as using daylight, when and how to use flash, depth of field and creating pictures with impact.

Whether you are just baffled by the technology, want to take better pictures of your family or have professional aspirations I can guide you through the jargon and improve your photography.

The session is “one to one”, lasts two hours and takes place at my studio in Caistor, Lincolnshire or sometimes on location. The cost is £75.

Studio Session Voucher

This voucher entitles you to a one hour portrait shoot with award winning photographer Michael Powell.

The shoot lasts around one hour and takes place in my studio in Caistor, Lincolnshire. If you wish you can bring some changes of clothing with you. Coordinated casual clothes are ideal. Bright harmonious colours work well too. You can even have a fully qualified professional do your make up*. The main thing is to relax and have fun.

A favourite colourful toy can be a useful prop for children. Adults might also like to bring in an item that says something about them. Do you play guitar for example? Why not bring it?

After the shoot a one hour appointment is made for you to view the images where if you wish you can choose to have them transformed into stunning contemporary personal art to compliment your home. A slideshow of the best pictures is shown and I can advise you on presentation options and display your favourites on screen. The studio walls are full of examples so you can see the outstanding quality first hand. Each image is carefully retouched before printing so each person can look his or her best.

There’s no obligation to order anything, no hard sell and thanks to lower overheads I can keep prices to around 50% of some high street lifestyle photographers.
